I have signed up for recurring donations and still don't have access to lot of Forums
At the risk of being repetitive - have you sent a email to IV (or sent a private message to "Starsun") with your transaction details of the recurring donations? If not, please do so. If you've already done so then please send a follow-up note. It typically takes a week from your original email. If nothing worked, please pick up the phone and call them up directly.

You are seeing it from a complete 180 degrees than I see it. It's not us who's discriminating, it is the laws which are discriminating. I am asking them to treat us all equal, I entered the country on an H1B which was an employement based application it did not hav any country quota, then why should green cards for EB have country quota. Why should a person from India wait for 10 year and a person from Romania get it in 1 year....I think your ROW friends shold understand our position.

I am driving from Los Angeles to Bay Area on Friday (13th) evening to join the protest. I can accomodate 3 people to join the protest. You will have to find your own accomodation. Only those who are seriously interested in going for the Immigration Rally will be given a ride. I will be leaving from Pasadena, CA around 7 pm. Wait for labor (go through labor pain..:-) ), do not get/expect promotion, Oh ya get your well educated spouse, Make them sit at home, make them feel unproductive, pay all your taxes, pay your social security BUT do not expect anything back, In the process if your kids age out separate them from you (send them back), If you wish to study pay highest fees, if you get promoted stand in queue again, pay frequent medical fees, AP, EAD fees, and yes YOU can always TRACK RNs for them. You can whine, post your opinions, when we change policies on the fly and create more hardships even if you have stayed here for more than 6 years, you can call up our customer service, be imaginative and get to level 2 and still get yelled at, asked to wait for 90 days (std reply), etc, but you can always go to good forum like IV and instead of working on your cause, create confusion, DEMAND action, not contribute....etc.

Both and spouse and I received my receipts for our I-485, I-140, EAD, AP 09/19/07. On 09/24/07 we received fingerprint notice and on 09/27/07 we received our EAD card. I am quite surprise by how fast it came. Here are my details :
Priority Date: 10/15/04
Type: EB3
I-140/I-485: Concurrently filing at NSC. Receipt date 07/07/07
Checks cashed: 09/10/07
Receipts received: 09/19/07
Fingerprint appt: 10/09/07

Funny... Sathweb took his post back, which even he does not agree with anymore and you now agree with it..
Point is very simple: If a person has a valid job offer then by all means go ahead and apply for H1 from any status (be it H4, F1, B or Z...) but if you don't have a proper job offer then please don't apply for the H1 visa through a body shop as you are taking away a valuable visa #, which unfortunately are very limited.

GCby3000 u wud still apply under Eb1 and Eb2 depending on the job requirement and ur personal skills. It is just that u will be Exempt from the Cap i.e. the yearly quota for GCs, IF you have an advanced degree in the US.
Now you can be an Eb2 even without a masters in the US, if you have outstanding management ability and ur job demands that kind of management skill level. In that case the yearly quota cap would apply to u, but if u have an advanced degree in the US the cap wud not apply to u.
What degrees are considered as advanced degrees in the SKIL bill maybe some on here can clarify. Is it the same definition as the STEM or is it different?

This is NOT an initiative that the ENTIRE IV community supports and hence will NOT be taken up by state chapter heads. The key here is UNITY UNITY UNITY. You have chosen to break the FIRST CODE of IV ethics and that is UNITY.
