    I have recently returned using AP. I had 3 APs and the officer took one and returned 2 back to me. Both were stamped and the officer told me that for my next trip I can use the 2 APs with me. And also that I need not submit any AP on my next trip back.

    Did he say anything about how many trips abroad you can make with the 2 approvals he gave back?

    My lawyer says I should apply for more AP's if I need to make more trips abroad than the # of approvals that I have.

    SO I'm wondering how many approvals does one trip take?
    Because if you have two stamped approvals with you ,a person with 2 initial approvals will have one stamped approval with him.
    So will he be able to make another trip abroad?

    i don't normally go for tricked-up stuff, but this one kind of hooked me. I did the "Ansel Adams" conversion to B&W which gave me a contrasty and "antique' look. Then I merged it with the original at about 45%.

    This gave the shot a very surreal look.

    This is purley an example of Mailroom confusion.

    You may be able to resend it clearly explaining the Mail room error.

    It is best to avoid this kind of confusion. This Mail room people are not trained well to calculate or think like you and me are thinking.

    You might have seen the cashier at walmart. If you buy worth of 20$ and you give 50$. They need calculator to figure it our how much to return.

    I am in similar situation but in GC process. My ex-colleagues are afraid to write experience letter for me.

    Some colleagues who are still working in the same company doesn't want the company to know about the letter. They are afraid that company would take action if USCIS contacts the company to verify the letter.

    Some colleagues who are out of the company are concerned about USCIS process. Basically they don't want to involve in any queries/RFEs from USCIS.

    Her H4 is not valid. She did travel to India without an approved AP.

    Can we cancel her GC application and bring her back on H4?

    Any other options?

    Why don't you take info pass and explain the need for an emergency visit and get an interim AP?

    While filing for my wife's G-325A form, her last name was filled in first name and first name as last name. We got our FP notice yesterday and thats when I went back and reviewed all the forms I filed. I was wondering if any of you know what can be done so that an honest mistake can be corrected?

    Any input appreciated. I understand it is for information purpose only and not many of us are attorneys, so no disclosure required :)

    Question:Name misspelled on I-485 NOA

    Yesterday we recieved 3 NOAs (for 130, 485, and 131) from USCIS, and unfortunately, most important (I-485) NOA misspelled my last name (while two other NOAs not). Nothing was misspelled on my application - I checked my copy.

    On the NOA, USCIS wrote in bold: Please notify us immediately if any of the above is incorrect. Well, my last name is incorrect (twice). Unfortunately, USCIS didn't say how exactly I should notify them immediately.

    So, what is the best way to correct this? Infopass? Or any good phone/fax numbers or email? We are in San Francisco.

    Answer Yes, you can do it through INFOPASS or you can wait until your fingerprinting appointment which will happen shortly and do it at that time

    An attorney has suggested them to take an infopass appt and I suggest you do the same

    Reading all the posts, it appears there is a systemic problem with the Indian IT firms.
    As much as I feel sorry for all the employees who are going thru this issue with those IT firms, I also feel some blame has to go to those employees.

    PLEASE USE THE LEGAL SYSTEM TO REDRESS YOUR PROBLEMS. Talk to attorneys, take action, Drag them to the court. At least if 1 in 10 goes this route, they will understand that it would not be in their best interest to harass an employee and they may change the policy and start behaving better with the future employees.

    Didn't you know for sure that you were going to stay with employer before asking them to apply GC.

    It may be illegal by Law by asking you to give the money back, but where would you put your action of wasting somebody's money?

    Not sure the contracting terms between you and your employer, but surely he was not the one forcing you to join the company, its you joined.

    If he was ready to help you to get GC, ready to invest atleast 9K on the process, why would you think his money is there just for you to play.

    Of course, you have valid points by law, you may escape from the latch now, but make sure this is not an repeating event.

    Calm down buddy, no need to get excited!

    FYI. I have been with the employer for ever. It's just that they are now revisiting/revising their GC policy, and I am trying to make sure that the policy makes sense for both the employer and any future employees. And who knows I may have to agree to this policy in future if I decide to redo my GC application :)
