No. It is a good company and are very careful with things. I have never been in consulting. One good thing they did unlike other companies is they anticipated career growth and filed GC for a higher position and I could gladly accept promotion in my career.

I got the SR response letter saying I contacted them and they are responding by saying that I should wait for the FP if I have not received one yet. So basically I am where I was 2 months ago.
If you read my earlier posts, I did have doubts that FP and NC may have some connection together.
But I think this seems more of a glitch in the TSC system in generation of FP. I mean either its NC or glitch that is causing this delay. Anyway, the NSC at least generates one for you after you speak to an IO. We are unfortunate in that also.

My I-485 was received by NSC, on Jun 25th. Called USCIS today, they said information is not in system. Lawyer is also not repsonding, if checks are cleared. My previously approved I-140 from TSC has a LUD of 08/05/07.

I think attorneys scare us in using AC21 before I-140. If you have a good attroney she can argue and convince USCIS to approve AC21 before I-140 approval. There can be only 3 reasons of I-140 denial:
- Ability to Pay
- Education
- Experience
Now if you work for a public company, A2P is not an issue. If you have a US degree, or a 4 years degree from outside, educations should not be a concern, unless LC asks for BTech in Comp Sc and you have it in Civil Engg. Laslty on Exp letter, if the only experience you mentioned on LC is the experience for which you have exp letter, you are fine.
Does anyone see anything missing? Come Jan 08, I expect many AC21 with I-140 pending.

You are wrong. How are the pay stubs link to your future GC job. Employment Letter is listed right there on I-485 form as initial evidence.

1. "W2 Self-employed" is an oxymoron. Self-employed option is possible through 1099. Nowhere on the Yates memo (or any other USCIS resource) does it say that you have to be on a "permanent" job. You sure can be self-employed (i.e., not on a W2) with AC21 provision, as the Yates memo clearly says.

I got some good news. I called uscis just now and got two receipt numbers, one for 485 and one for EAD. Checks not cashed yet. I don't have the receipt number for AP yet. So it seems that our box is not lost and they're processing them, though so slowly. My application arrived on 7/3 at NSC, received by R. William at 9:03am.
Hope every one of us will receive our receipts, EAD and AP asap.
Going by the most recent receipting update, very likely, our cases (especially July 3/R.William) got transferred from NSC(well beyond 07/03) to TSC(beyond 08/05 - the LUD date) to CSC(still working on 07/30). If you have a counter example, please post.

I have a bad feeling about IVs goals. Are you only concerned about getting the GC backlogs cleared? or are you going to be asking for H1b related issues to be addressed too? eg:- H1b renewal after the 6th year is an issue any moron could easily understand and pass. That has been there for many years and should continue for a successful H1b program. Please take care of that issue too. I dont see that included in the letter you have prepared to be sent out to all the senators. Please do that urgently. This is a very techinical issue and can easily be campaingned for. Pls dont ignore it.
If the number 3 in the letter has something to do with H1b renewal, pls reword it and make it clear, however, Idont believe its related to h1b renewal atall.

This email is to register a strong protect against the visa bulletin released for Jun-09. In the tough time of 2009 that USA is facing, you are trying to do everything you can to protect the futures of the citizens of your country and I admire you for that. I would also like to point out that the visa bulletin pushes back dates for EB2 Indians to Jan-00 which virtually means no green card for Indians unless they are in EB1 category. I have spent almost 9 years in this country, legally. In 2005, I initiated the process for green card through EB immigration. While many others from different countries such as Europe, Asia and also China came here much after I have and contributed less than I have, they have gotten their green cards much sooner than I have and some of them have even become citizens. When I say I, a lot of my fellow citizens also face this unjust separate queue for Indians.
Please help me understand as to how someone from country A having a longer queue than country B coupled with an indefinite time wait is a fair and equitable treatment?
I understand that you feel sensitive to protect jobs of Americans in these tough economic times, however; it is beyond comprehension that while citizens of all other countries are being welcomed with no wait for green card in employment based category that there are virtually no green cards left for any Indian, even for those who have stayed here longest.
My message may or may not ever reach you but, I wanted to register a strong protest against unjust treatment meted out to me in the area of immigration.

Your letter need to be professional, courteous and grammatically correct and pleasant to read. Remember, the purpose is to impress and sell your point of view to President himself. Poorly drafted letter may actually have a negative impact, especially when we are claiming ourselves as skilled professionals.
Achoo makes good points in other post. This is not to insult you and I know English is not our first language and most of us struggle with it including myself. But we should make an effort to get this right.

I am just trying to see if NSC could go past the I-485 received on 06/01/2007. Many folks whose application was received the first day got receipt and receipt#. Is there anyone who applied later and got the receipt or receipt#.

Hello All,
After being without job for almost 2 months, I am getting an offer for a short term project on 1099. Project is in my field and my job responsibilites are exactly same as what was approved on my labor. I am a Jul 07 filer.
Now, if in the next few months I get any Employement Verification RFE, what are my options? How can I answer the RFE while on 1099? What kind of documentation will I need? Has anyone successfully answered an EV RFE while on 1099?
OR
Is being on 1099 while on EAD a bad idea and I should stay away from it?
Related questions - I am not planning to file AC21 at this time as this is a short term contract and I don't want to 'notify' USCIS of any changes at this time. Dates move ahead means almost all people before 8 Jan 2005 will get their GC in Sep 2009.
If that comes not true then DOS has given Spill over visas to Eb2 india on day 1 of new quarter and will do same for every quarter. If this is the case then date will move forward only in Jan 2010 bulletin.
and if they moved date forward because there are only few hundreds case between Jan 8 and Jan 22 2005 then we will see very big movement in Aug - Sep 2009. There are very few Labor since Nov 2008. So Eb2 ROW will not utilize even 10k visas in next year thus Eb2 row will donate 20k + visas to Eb2 india and Eb1 do same ... if Eb4 and Eb5 doesnot get renewal before Sep 30th then expect 5k more visas total almost 55k Spill over to Eb2 india and China which will make Eb2 C by Sep 2010..
